Hawaii





Relevant Information:

  • Hawaii is the only U.S satate made up entirely of islands. 
  • Hawaii is the 11th-least populous, but the 13th-most densely populated of the 50 United States.
  • Due to its mid-Pacific location, Hawaii has many North American and Asian influences along with its own native culture.
  • Its capital is Honolulu on the island  of O'ahu.



Reasons to visit Hawaii:

  • Hawaii's diverse natural scenery, warm tropical climate, abundance of public beaches and oceanic surronding, and active volcanoes make it a wonderful tropical paradise.
  • It's perfect for surfing and diving. 
  • The largest island in the Hawaiian chain, the Big Island contains 11 out of 13 climatic zones of the world. As you drive around the island, you will be amazed by how fast your surroundings change.





Must-visit places:


  • SeaLife Park, O'ahu: It is Hawaii's greatest marine attraction. It offers you a close-up view of Hawaii's underwater world. 


  • Hawaii's Volcanoes National Park, Big Island: A science fiction landscape of steaming vents, deep craters, crusty cinder cones, and blackened lava fields up to 3 miles wide. It's best enjoyed from a helicopter. 


  • Hawaii's Polynesian Cultural Center, O'ahu: It displays seven native villages of the different Polynesian cultures: Hawaii, Samoa, Aoteraroa (New Zealand), Fiji, Tonga, Tahiti, and Marquesas.







Alaska




Relevant Information:

  • Alaska is the largest state in the US by area. 
  • Alaska is the 4th least populous and the least densely populated of the 50 United States. 
  • Its capital is Juneau and its largest city is Anchorage. 
  • Alaska was purchased from Russia on March 30, 1867 
  • 722,718 people live there.


Reasons to visit Alaska:

  • Most of Alaska is wilderness, an untouched wildernes, what is hard to find anywhere else in the US. Alaska has been a destination of adventurers and explorers. 
  • Its wildlife. Alaska is home to the world’s largest bear species, the Kodiak Brown Bear, and to the world’s greatest concentration of bald eagles. 
  • Alaska has one lowest tax burden in the United States and no state sales tax. This means that everything you buy there is tax free.



Must-visit places:

  • Alaska Native Heritage Center, Anchorage: you can spend easily a few hours at the Alaska Native Heritage Center because of the many activities the center offers, such as walking tours of the different villages where you can interact with native Alaskans, as well as watching traditional dance demonstrations.


  • Denali National Park and Preserve: exclusively for enjoying wildlife and glacier sightings, fall foliage tours, backpacking trips and nature excursions. Mt. Mckinley is located here.



  • Alaska Zoo, Anchorage: home to a large collection of birds and animals. The zoo contains animals native to the state as well as more exotic creatures such as tigers and elephants.

 

 

 

 

Texas




Relevant information:

  • Texas is the second most populous and the second most extensive of the 50 United States, and the most extensive state of the 48 contiguous United States.
  • Spoken Language:
    -English(68.7%)
    -Spanish(27.0%)
  • Its capital is Austin and  its largest city is Houston.

Reasons to visit Texas:

  • Go to SeaWorld in San Antonio.
  • Go to music festivals in Austin like SXSW in March, Austin City Limits Music Festival in September, the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar in December or the Old Pecan Street Arts Festivals in the spring and fall.
  • Go to Austin because it's the top location for moviemaking in Texas. Recent hits include The Alamo, Spy Kids 3D, Miss Congeniality, The Rookie and Second Hand Lions.
Houston
Dallas


Must-visit places:

  • The Alamo, San Antonio: the ruins of the Battle of the Alamo, the most famous battle of the Texas Revolution. It is now a museum with beautiful landscape. You can walk through and look at all the wonderful artifacts and things people have discovered from the ruins. 


  • Riverwalk: San Antonio’s famous shopping and dining district, it is located along the winding banks of the San Antonio River.


  • Austin: It is the capital of Texas. You can go to many places like the University of Texas and the Capitol Building. If you want a great history lesson, go to the capitol, it is very enjoying!
